I have found it necessary to share some information with the public regarding Heard Elementary School and ESPLOST funds.
Heard Elementary School is the first elementary school to reap the benefits of the prior ESLOST. An architect and construction manger are both under contract to begin "the process" when appropriate. The State Department has granted "site approval". That approval doesn't state renovation, remodeled, or built new from the ground up.
Allegations that the Heard Elementary ESPLOST funds were used to construct the Bibb County School District Welcome Center are inaccurate.
